Description

I worked on this on and off. It started out pretty abstract and slowly forms came together. At the persistent urging of a friend, I finished it. I probably ended up putting about 10 hours into it by the end.

Overall it does a good job capturing attention of the viewer. Having a waterfall from above down to the land below is nice idea that could have been pushed further. When the water comes to the first rocks after the journey down from the city above it doesn't seem to splash as one might think it. The ship adds some life to the land other then the water flowing, however it could be slightly reduced in size to mesh more with the rocks behind and beside it.

I really like this piece, i love the magical feeling. I like how the rocks the higher they get they start to float.
Really makes me want to see more of whats up there :) and what's the story behind it if any.

Something about the rocks below reminds me of skull island from King Kong.

Nice work. Good use of colour and in general it has a likeable painterly feel. Be a bit careful though, as it's a fine line (literally sometimes!) between painterly and unfinished, and some of the background islands in the sky look more like placeholders than finished elements. +8/10

That's a nice painting. I really like the loosely painted look of this and the composition works ok. The image lacks depth though. The floating city looks as if it is very small, which I believe it is not suppose to be.
